My sun conure is way too loud to be anywhere people might need to talk on the phone ...you know, like you might need to do in an office environment ;)

I am tempted to bring my pionus with me sometimes, but it would be pretty distracting. I'd want to fuss over her constantly rather than doing work. ;)Unfortunately, she tends to get car sick too, so maybe bringing her to work isn't a great idea either.

That is pretty amazing, I can imagine the poor dog thinking maybe he would rather stay in the tree upon seeing the amazon HAHA

I have taken my birds to work several times, i work at an animal shelter though, so I actually got 3 of my birds from work. I used to work in an office though, and I took jazzie, one of my budgies, to work with me almost everyday. She was very popular at the office, I would close the door and let her fly around during lunch and we would eat our lunch together.

Cosmo, my quaker, goes with me all over, we went to starbucks this morning together!!! She even managed to wrangle a free bag of nuts and dried fruits from the starbucks guy !!!! Hey, there is a fine line between stealing it and ripping the bag open and being told you can have it!!!

I am planning to keep a budgie in my third grade classroom this year. Previously I kept a bearded dragon but he passed away this year from old age. The custodians always complained about his smells. I think the kids will love the budgie. I teach in an area with a 76% poverty rate and most kids do not know any other kind of pets besides outdoor cats and pit bulls.
