Pssst...Here's the secret to training the parrots
If you are looking for parrot secrets here, you should probably move along.
It isn’t that I don’t have anything to offer. It’s just that there simply are no secrets, no magical ways to make your parrot do your bidding or be a better citizen. What I offer is a ton of practice, practice at the work of training birds — both in home, at facilities and with seven years of professional show work as well as 15 years of falconry. Still, I didn’t learn any secrets. I learned basic behavior concepts that most psychologists understand. Certainly no secrets. I just got better at not making mistakes and recognizing when I did make them. You, if you battle with behavior shaping and design, with being a better communicator, you will get there as well.
There is no magical cure for excess pounds. There is a cure, but it isn’t fast and easy. Burn more calories than you eat. It’s that simple, but it certainly isn’t a secret. There is no magic way to win the olympics, even you are drug enhanced, you still have to do the work. The good news is that the work is very rewarding and unlike shortcuts and scams, it’s habit forming. When you learn to eat better, when exercise becomes a daily part of your life, when you interact with your parrots, always with clear communication in mind, then being healthy, being fit and having great relationships just becomes a habit.
So if someone wants to whisper a secret to you, especially on the internet, don’t hand over your hard-earned cash. You may end up getting duped by a false advertising like Parrot Secrets The only reason I’m willing to point it out as a scam is that a blogger was kind enough to break down the money made from this site and the hows and whys of its “success”. I suppose it is an excellent example of how to make money on the internet with little overhead, and I am a huge fan of capitalism, but I have ethics and this story outrages them.
